His approach is based on a simple principle: experience and knowledge gain additional meaning when they are used not only to improve performance and achieve goals, but also to help people and contribute to society.
Advocating for Senior Citizens
Ami Grunberg served as Head of Elderly Affairs at 121 – Engine for Social Change.
As part of this work, he helped raise awareness of the economic and social challenges facing senior citizens in Israel and advocated for policies that enable people to age with dignity.
A central focus of this activity was strengthening the economic safety net available to senior citizens, including the need for adequate old-age allowances that better reflect economic realities and the cost of living.
His public engagement also included contributing opinion articles to Israeli media on poverty among senior citizens, pensions and allowances, the cost of living, social responsibility and human dignity.
Public Voice
As part of his public activity, Ami contributed to media discussion on issues affecting senior citizens, economic security, old-age allowances, the cost of living and human dignity.
His opinion articles appeared in Israeli media including Calcalist, mako, Davar and B'Sheva.
Education & Community Involvement
Ami's involvement in educational and community initiatives began many years earlier.
He served as chairman of the school committee at Ein Ganim School in Petah Tikva and was involved in educational and school-community issues.
He later volunteered in the Tzahala educational initiative, founded and led by the late Brigadier General (Res.) Ran Pekker, working with high-school students around the values of excellence, responsibility and good citizenship.
This involvement reflects a principle that has accompanied Ami throughout his professional life: knowledge, leadership and skills have their greatest value when they are translated into action that improves people's lives.
